Spring is Coming!

On February 6th, NYLHCA held it’s first 2020 Quarterly Meeting in Albany with a very good in-person and call-in participation from our Members. Thank you all for your support and valuable input!
This Meeting saw the development of, and progress in, several major initiatives on our agenda for 2020. Some of those are the development of an RFP for Medical Plans; an RFP for Wellness/Preventative Medicine; the NYLHCA Product Development Committee will be reviewing the National Labor Alliance recent choices on both Vision and Imaging Services from RFPs they initiated in 2019. A PDC Meeting will be scheduled soon and will be an important step forward in enhancing our benefits portfolio - please plan to participate.

Also following up on Member feedback, we are currently working with both our endorsed PBMs-  ESI and OptumRx - to arrange in person ‘User Meetings’ that will allow our Members and invited guests to get up to date program details, their future planning with Specialty RX and cost controls, and how these PBMs will enhance their programming to work for your Fund and Members. More details will be forthcoming on days, locations, etc.

Our NYLHCA Annual Seminar and Golf Event will be held on September 24th at Turning Stones Resort. Our Annual and Quarterly Meetings will be held at the same location on the day before the Event. This year the Officers of the NYLHCA are asking all members to actively assist in inviting more non-member Funds from your regions; identifying Vendors that you use that may become a Sponsor for our Event; and having more Trustees from every Fund attend in greater numbers. Our feedback was that last year’s event was very well received - and we have every intention to enhance the value for each attendee this year.
Our next Quarterly Meeting will be on May 7th in NYC at the Milliman Offices at 1 Penn Plaza.
