Thank You for a Great 4th Annual Seminar! - (10/4/2018)

A BIG Thank YOU to all our Members and Vendors who attended and supported our 4th Annual Seminar and Golf Event on September 19th and 20th at the Turning Stone Resort.

A great Member/Trustee turnout, supportive Vendor Partners, very knowledgeable speakers with relevant, timely information for our group - and very good weather - it was an excellent networking opportunity - and lots of fun as well. Having seminar sessions led by industry experts - Katherine Hesse, Esq. (Partner, Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, LLP); Daniel R. Brice, Esq. of Blitman & King, LLC; Nicole Browning, Clinical Director, Natl. Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse; James W. Versocki, Esq. of Archer, Byington, Glennon &Levine, LLP; -and the support and hosting by Thomas DeRoche, Dir. Educational Programs of the IFEBP - was filled with new information and updates in our industry.

I must give all our NYLHCA Members - and hopefully those visiting ‘Members to Be’ – much credit for adding to a rousing and entertaining dinner and awards ceremony hosted by our own Steve O’Sick, NYLHCA Secretary. Honoring Randy DeFrehn with our NYLHCA Lifetime Achievement Award was an honor for us since he has given so much of his life to advocacy toward the betterment of employee benefit plans, pensions, and crafting national regulations.

Since this was my first NYLHCA Annual Event - I was impressed by the sharing of information, comradery, and obvious desire to do the very best for the Locals and their members and families.

I ask that those visitors and Locals that are considering the value of joining our Alliance look at our new website (www.nylhca.org) and get a feel for where our portfolio and services to Members is headed!
