What an incredible milestone we've reached together! The 10th annual NYLHCA Benefit Seminar has come to a close, and we couldn't be more grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from everyone who participated. A decade of dedication, collaboration, and excellence in labor benefits.  This landmark event was a testament to the strength of our community and the dedication of our union member funds and vendor partners in labor. This years event included:

Inaugural Corn Hole Tournament. We made history with our first-ever corn hole tournament! The friendly competition brought out everyone's playful side and created unforgettable moments of camaraderie.

Best in class Education Sessions. Our educational programming reached new heights this year, delivering cutting-edge insights and practical knowledge that will benefit your members and funds for years to come.

Monster Golf Course or Relaxing Spa Treatments. The amazing monster golf course in the Catskills provided picturesque fall setting for this challenging course. If you were not a golfer, the spa offerings provided the perfect opportunity to relax. Whether you chose a massage, facial, or other treatment, we hope you left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Dinner reception with comedian, music, awards and prizes.

Celebrating Legacy: Patty Redhead's Lifetime Achievement
A special highlight of this year's seminar was honoring Patty Redhead with a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her remarkable 38-year career with Roofers Local 195. Patty's unwavering dedication, leadership, and contributions to our labor community have inspired countless individuals and set a standard of excellence that will continue to guide us for years to come.

Her journey represents the very best of what our unions stand for: commitment, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of better benefits and opportunities for all members.

A Decade of Growth, A Future of Promise
As we reflect on ten years of the NYLHCA Benefit Seminar, we're filled with pride at how far we've come and excitement for what lies ahead. What started as a vision to bring together union benefit funds and industry partners has grown into the premier annual gathering for labor benefits professionals. Your participation—whether this was your first seminar or your tenth—is what makes this event meaningful and impactful.

"Together, we're not just managing benefits—we're building security, dignity, and opportunity for working families across New York and beyond."

From Our Hearts to Yours
To every union member fund, vendor partner, board member, participant, and attendee – thank you. Your participation, energy, and commitment made this 10th anniversary truly special. We look forward to continuing this journey together, building on a decade of success and creating even more memorable experiences in the years ahead!

In addition, NYLHCA announces a ‘Hassle Free’ Guaranteed Life Option and a 24/7 Accident Coverage you need to check out. The ‘out of pocket’ cost models give realistic savings and with NO physical exam necessary, coverage can be quickly obtained.

Testimonials

"Rochester Laborers Local 435 is a proud member of the NYLHCA. Our funds have benefited from the professional relationships we have established with vendors and other fund administrators/trustees. Through collective negotiating power, our Funds have saved money by utilizing NYLHCA endorsed vendors like National Vision Administrators (NVA) and Optum RX. Also, we are exposed to many vendors and how their products can benefit our funds, not just from a savings standpoint but also through the enrichment of our membership’s Benefit Portfolio, which, in turn, enriches our members’ lives. Further, our relationships with other Funds Administrators and Trustees have proven to be a precious tool. I cannot say enough about the power of the NYLHCA’s networking opportunities. We are proud to continue our collaboration with the NYLHCA."

"As many of you already know, the Laborers' Local 157 Health Fund has continued to provide some of the best heath care benefits in the state.  All for a minimal employer contribution rate.  We have been able to achieve this not just through the hard work of our membership and service providers but with the help of the NYLHCA. We have taken advantage of the NYLHCA's collective negotiating power.  Many of our current vendor contracts reflect the savings.  I myself have been able to learn a lot by using the other administrators in the NYLHCA to establish best practices.  The endorsed fiduciary insurance product through the endorsed J.A. Mariano Agency also saves our Pension, Annuity and Training Funds a great deal of money."
